Rhode Island Primary Election

  • Voter Registration Deadline: August 9, 2026
  • Mail-In Ballot Application Deadline: August 18, 2026
  • Primary Election Day: September 9, 2026

General Election

  • Voter Registration Deadline: October 4, 2026

What to Bring to the Polls

To ensure a smooth experience at your Rhode Island polling place, please bring a valid photo ID. Accepted forms include:

  • RI Driver’s License or State ID

Eligibility

To vote in Rhode Island, you must be a citizen of the United States, a resident of Rhode Island, and at least 18 years of age by Election Day.
