CNN Features Vic Mellor’s We The People Health and Wellness Center

CNN published an October 2025 article focused on the medical freedom movement in Sarasota County, Florida. Vic Mellor and his We The People Health and Wellness Center appear prominently throughout the piece.

The article describes We The People as a โ€œclinic of mystical beliefโ€ where โ€œangry patientsโ€ receive โ€œexperimental treatments that are unproven and dangerous.โ€ Furthermore, CNN frames the center as a hub for what it calls โ€œanti-government absolutism.โ€

The article notes that The Hollow hosted clinics for unvaccinated children and that the facility includes a broadcasting studio used by conservatives. Additionally, the story connects these details with criticism directed at broader Sarasota-area figures and events. The article attempts to portray a wider network of people and organizations as “irrational” and “dangerous”.

That is CNNโ€™s framing. However, supporters of the center describe the story differently. Vic opened We The People because many families in his community felt they had no safe options. Parents who lost trust in a broken medical system sought providers willing to listen to their concerns. During years marked by vaccine mandates, dismissal of natural immunity, and a shut down on healthy debate, many families looked for alternatives.

This is not extremism. Rather, it is a businessman identifying a need and building a solution. Mellorโ€™s work builds towards a larger commitment to medical freedom and individual liberty. He has consistently argued against government overreach and policies that infringe on bodily autonomy and civil liberties.

Throughout these debates, Vic has never needed permission from CNN or anyone else to serve his community. Mellor maintains that his advocacy for freedom and a better future is only beginning.
